Friends Summit 2010 Those students that are going, don't forget that your final payment due to the church will be December 19th.

T-Minus 19 days until Summit!

The students who are heading to Summit with us, the time is drawing near! HS students, please continue to come to our small group where we will be discussing Dan Kimball's book, "They Like Jesus but not the Church." Don't forget to have your final payment to the church no later than the 19th! We are planning to leave on Monday the 27th, spend the night in Haviland, then head on out to Colorado Springs. I am going to be sending you a "what to pack/what not to pack" list, dress code, what to expect, and some other important information. I am really looking forward to seeing what God is going to do through everyone that will be there!

As you can tell, the website has been updated with new Summit information. If you or someone you would like to go, you can still sign up until December 1 with a $25 late fee. See You At The Pole

On Wednesday Sept. 22, please meet at the high school flagpole at 7am for a time of prayer for your classmates, teachers, administration, community, local, state, and federal government. We will conclude our time of prayer in time for your first class. Also we'll have some goodies, probably doughnuts, juice, and milk! Please join us as we join thousands of other people at the same time as they pray for their school!

Don't forget the new changes!

Just a reminder, High school youth group is now on Sunday evenings at 6 at the church. Junior high youth group is on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. Also, high school students have an opportunity to dig deeper into the Word on Wednesday nights by attending a small group Bible study at the Smitherman's house, taught by George and Lynne Hicks. Right now, the study is on the book of Philippians.

Frontier City this Saturday!

I hope you are ready to spend some time riding roller coasters and enjoying some music from Leeland this Saturday at Frontier City. Please, PLEASE let me know today if you are planning to go. I need to know by today or I will assume you are not going. Cost is $25 to get in, plus you will need some money for supper that night. We will be leaving from the church at 12:30pm. The concert starts around 7:30 and we will be back in town sometime between 11:30pm and midnight. Let me know if you are planing to go ASAP!!!

End of Summer/Back to School Party!!!

JH and HS students, please meet up at the pavilion at 6:30pm this Wednesday for a party. We will eat and play some games. We are asking that you bring a 2 liter bottle of your favorite pop (preferably not Coke) and bring $5 to help with the cost of the food. You'll want to wear messy clothes as the games we are playing may get a little messy. REMEMBER THIS IS AT 6:30PM NOT 7:00!!!

JH Day at the Lake this Thursday!

If you are in JH (7-8 grade) please join us for some fun at the Lake from 2-9pm. We will be having some games on the beach, in the water, and lots of fun! Also, we will be cooking around 6pm. I just ask that you bring $5 per person to help cover the cost of the food. Bring a friend! If you bring a friend that has never been to youth group, you can both eat for $5! Hope to see you on Thursday! Bring your swimming suit and a great attitude!

HS Camping this Thursday!

For those of you going, we are leaving the church parking lot at 10am on Thursday! We will camp overnight and then have a GREAT lunch in Tulsa. We plan to be home around 3 or so on Friday! You can pay me on Wednesday if you haven't already. Happy camping!!!

Swimming Party Tomorrow Night!!! (7-21-10)

We're having another swimming party at the Greenfield's pool for youth group tomorrow night. Please bring your swimming suits and lots of sunscreen! You can meet us at their house around 7:00pm or please let me know if you need a ride!!! Happy swimming!!!

HS Only Camping!

We still have two more spots for people for camping on July 29-30. We need to get these spots filled! We will be going to Keystone Lake (near Tulsa), camping, swimming, hiking, eating camp food and much more! Please bring all your camping stuff, don't bring your cell phones! Youth Fishing Day This Saturday!

That's right! Shake the dust off your poles and start digging for worms! This Saturday, July 10, we will embark on an epic fishing trip (to the Brixey's ponds north of town). We will meet at the church at 7am, and fish until about 11am. Then we will gather together again for a fish fry that evening at 6pm at the pavilion. I hope that you are ready for some fish and some fellowship! Let me know if you want to go with us!

Just thought I would remind everyone that we will NOT have youth group this week because of VBS. We had a great turnout last night and expect good ones from now on! We will have a little time of sharing our camp reports this Sunday morning! Please plan to be there! If you went to camp, please plan on sharing!

Pool Party tomorrow night!

We are going to be having a JH/HS pool party at the Greenfield's house at 7:00pm. If you need a ride, show up at the church a little before 7 and we'll get you there, otherwise, just meet out at their house.
